Such statements assume that you have the time and resources to sample every thing available under the sun. The article also didn't focus on the rat race aspect of the competition. Rather it primarily focussed on a simple premise that comparing/benchmarking oneself to others is probably not the right thing to do. <br /><br />Is it possible to follow this principle? Probably yes but for most of us its difficult. Have I been able to do it? Sometimes for sure. Will I be able to do it all the time?
